This policy explains which personal data the Frisson app processes and how. The data controller is Aroneus SRL, Rue de Hodimont 51, 4800 Verviers, Belgium (VAT BE 0730.644.283), contact [email protected].

1. Data we process

  • Account: email address, password (encrypted), display name — via our authentication provider.
  • Profile: username, gender, date of birth (for 18+ verification and matching).
  • Messages and content: text messages, photos, videos and voice notes you exchange with other users.
  • Relationships: contacts, requests, consents, blocks and reports.
  • Technical data: connection information strictly necessary for the real-time relay to function.

Bluetooth, microphone, camera, photos. Bluetooth access is used only to drive your accessory locally from your phone; no Bluetooth data is sent to our servers. The camera, microphone and photo library are used only when you choose to capture or send content, or to make the accessory react to ambient sound (processed locally).

2. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR)

  • Providing the service (account, messaging, matching) — performance of the contract.
  • Verifying the minimum age of 18 — legal obligation / legitimate interest.
  • Ensuring safety, moderation and the handling of reports — legitimate interest and legal obligation.
  • Transmitting content to the authorities where the law requires it (e.g. content involving minors) — legal obligation.

3. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. It is shared only with:

  • other users, for the content you send them;
  • our technical subcontractors (relay hosting, media storage, authentication), bound by contract and acting on our behalf;
  • the competent authorities, where the law requires it.

4. Retention

Account and profile data is kept for as long as your account is active. Messages and media are kept for as long as needed for the conversation and deleted when the account or the conversation is deleted, subject to the legal retention periods applicable to reports and security obligations.

5. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. You can delete your account in the App or exercise your rights by writing to [email protected]. You may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Belgium).

6. Security

Exchanges with our servers are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to the App can be protected by a local passcode. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

7. Minors

The App is prohibited to minors. We do not knowingly collect data from people under 18 and delete any account identified as such.

8. Changes

This policy may change; the applicable version is the one published on this page.
